Southern Arkansas University Tech 's Workforce Training Department provides credit and non-credit specialized training courses for business and industries upon request. The College partners with business and industries in its service area through a Workforce Training Board. The Board has a wide membership of businesses and industries and has voting positions filled by industry leaders.

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Level 2

This class will increase your knowledge and understanding of the ControlLogix 5000 controller capabilities using the Studio 5000 program documentation software. This hands-on class presents a deeper understanding of project development tasks and applications. This will include creating and organizing an RSLogix5000 project and creating new programs, routines, periodic event tasks, and applications. In addition, you will configure Addon instructions, user-defined data tables, producer-consumer messaging, and PID 5.
FANUC Product Training

The course covers the tasks that an operator, technician, engineer, or programmer needs to setup, record, and/or troubleshoot programs on a FANUC Robot Handling Tool Software.

General and customized courses and training can be specifically customized for a company's unique needs at a cost that is fair and reasonable by utilizing training grants. Our programs are available to meet the growing need of the workforce. Workforce staff is available to provide free initial consultation upon request to determine need, scope, and location of all training services. We can provide you qualified, professional trainers with business and industrial experience to meet your training needs.
Funding Assistance for training services is available at a cost that is fair and reasonable utilizing training grants. Local proposals for funding can be developed and coordinated for eligible industries.
Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) are available for qualified training programs and are issued promptly to individual participants. Records of participation, class content, date and location, are kept for documentation and evaluation purposes.

Credit for Prior Learning can be earned from non-credit workforce training and job experience and applied to degree programs at SAU Tech for students may have gained knowledge through work history, life experiences, certifications, or training. SAU Tech offers several methods to help students obtain up to 30 college credit hours (half of a degree) by converting that knowledge into college credit and applying it to a degree.
