Camden, AR- SAU Tech is pleased to announce a new local sponsor of Rocket Athletics. Betsy Thomson, the owner of a local State Farm Insurance Agency, is showing her support for Rocket athletes with a sponsorship to purchase 36 Rocket branded chairs for the teams to use during games. Thomson is the daughter of Jim Boyette, former State Farm agent. She recently moved back to Camden with her family to take over her father's business when he retired. Betsy expressed her enthusiasm regarding the Rockets' sponsorship, "We are excited to be a part of the SAU Tech Rockets Basketball Team. Jason and his team are doing great things at SAU Tech. It is such an essential part of our community, and we encourage everyone to come out and watch the games. You will not be disappointed!"

SAU Tech's Chancellor, Dr. Jason Morrison, and the Rocket basketball coaches were all present on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, to thank Thomson for her generous support. Dr. Morrison stated that "When many of our community partners are experiencing difficulties created by the COVID-19 restrictions, its good to see our support growing. Our local business owners, like Betsy Thomson, know that for our students to continue to have access to NJCAA athletics, we need our community to continue their support. I am very grateful for Betsy and her family's commitment to SAU Tech."
