April 1, 2017, marked the date for the SAU Tech Welding Academy’s annual competition. The competition was open to all ages and ran from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the following students taking home the prizes:

1st Place – Nicolas Candler / Little Rock, Arkansas
2nd Place – Aurora Roberts / Magnolia, Arkansas
3rd Place – Terry Reddin / Emerson, Arkansas

The first place winner, Nicolas Candler, earned a tuition scholarship to the SAU Tech Welding Academy along with a welding hood. Aurora Roberts, the second place winner, received a torch kit and Terry Reddin, the third place winner, received a welding hood.
