SAU Tech Ranked #3 in the Nation

Wallethub Ranks SAU Tech

Wallethub announced its list of the best and worst colleges in the nation in a report published on August 19, 2019. After reviewing the tuition and fees for a full-time, in-state student, and reviewing other factors like the average grant or scholarship award received, the per-pupil spending, spending efficiency, and education outcomes (graduation rates, transfer rates, retention rates, etc.), Wallethub compiled a list of the best and worst community or two-year colleges in the nation.  Southern Arkansas University Tech (SAU Tech) placed number three in the country and number two in the state of Arkansas as one of the best two-year colleges. Wallethub also reviewed data on faculty to student ratios and alumni earning rates.

SAU Tech is entering its second academic year to offer NJCAA sports which includes basketball for men and women, and now softball. With SAU Tech’s ability to house students and provide collegiate sports along with both transfer and technical degrees, SAU Tech is a real option for all students. Dr. Jason Morrison, SAU Tech’s Chancellor, is insistent that all students deserve a holistic college experience. He has been instrumental in adding more housing, NJCAA athletics, scholars programs, and other avenues for students to feel valued.
