Kenneth (Doc) Long made the first donation to SAU Tech’s new Scholars Program started by Dr. Jason Morrison, SAU Tech’s Chancellor. Long made a donation of $500 during a Rotary Club meeting in Camden where SAU Tech Foundation Executive Director, Beckie Moore, was on hand to accept the donation from Long. Long stated that “I believe there is a need for education and resources. Throughout my life I have “planted seeds” as stated in Genesis 8:22, we are called upon to plant seeds to invest in someone’s life. That is what I am supposed to do.

As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat,
summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease.

It might take 20 years to mature, but it could possibly take less. When seeds are planted the harvest follows and distribution follows the harvest. I have always invested in other people’s lives, and I will continue doing so as long as I am on this earth.”
