Bill Ferns created a nursing scholarship with the SAU Tech Foundation in memory of his wife, Carol, who passed away in 2015. They both worked at Ouachita County Medical Center and Carol regularly worked with the SAU Tech Nursing students. The scholarship was established to honor her life and to assist others as they enter into a nursing career. This new scholarship open to residents of Ouachita County with a GPA of 3.0 to be awarded annually for tuition, books, and fees.
