SAU Tech CARES Act & COVID-19 Relief Fund Information

March 18, 2021 - COVID RELIEF FUNDS  
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act has provided funds for SAU Tech to distribute to currently enrolled students.  There is no application necessary.  If you meet the following criteria, you are eligible for the funds.
-Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours as of March 16, 2021.
-Excludes ALETA, Fire Rookie School, High School Concurrent and International students

Amounts to be distributed are as follows:
Students who are Pell-eligible: $800 -12 hours or more as of March 16, 2021
                                                                  $400- 6 – 11 hours as of March 16, 2021
Students who are NOT Pell-eligible: $500 -12 hours or more as of March 16, 2021
                                                                             $250 - 6-11 hours or more as of March 16, 2021
Refunds will be sent in late March if you have direct deposit.  It will be early April if you are to receive a paper check.  To enroll in direct deposit, please submit a direct deposit authorization form to the Business Office by March 22.

Updates as of June 17, 2020- Eligible students may receive more CARES Act funds if they are enrolled in 6 (six) hours or more of classes at SAU Tech this fall. The criteria to be eligible are listed below. To register for classes, make an advising appointment.

The requirements to be eligible to receive funds as an SAU Tech student are listed below.

  • Degree-seeking students
  • Eligible for Title IV aid (This is determined by the students' completion of the FAFSA)
  • Students could not be enrolled exclusively in online classes before March 13, 2020.
  • The relief fund is for students who incurred expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus.
