Graduate, Roquayyah Blake, to Speak at SAU Tech's 2019 Ceremony
Southern Arkansas University Tech has chosen 2019 graduate, Roquayyah Blake, to speak during the upcoming event on Saturday, May 4.
Blake is graduating with an Associate of Arts Degree in General Education and a Technical Certificate in General Studies. She had this to say about her time at SAU Tech, “I chose SAU Tech because it is close to home and very affordable. The environment and staff have been friendly and welcoming ever since I first came to the campus. During my time here, I developed friendships with my peers and good relationships with my teachers which has made Tech feel like my home away from home. I have always had a passion for learning, and I knew that choosing SAU Tech would help me further my desire to learn. I am returning to finish a few more basic classes this fall to transfer to a university to pursue a career in radiology. I firmly believe that hard work pays off, and I will always thank SAU Tech for being the first stepping stone in my educational journey.”
Blake intends to return in the fall of 2019 to take a few more courses before transferring to a university radiology program. She works in the Arts and Sciences Department on campus as a student worker for instructor, Laura Camp.
