We’ve created a step by step Enrollment Guide to walk students and families through common college questions, how to choose a degree, understand financial aid, and apply for admission.
Step 1:
Explore Programs & Career Paths
- Help your student think about what they enjoy and where they want to go.
- Use tools like Arkansas Kuder for career interest assessments.
- Browse SAU Tech’s academic programs to match their interests with a certificate or degree.
Step 4:
Apply for Admission
- Students can apply online—there’s no fee to apply to SAU Tech!
- Visit sautech.edu/apply or talk with a school counselor.
Step 2:
Talk About Paying for College
- Review options like Pell Grants, state scholarships, and SAU Tech Foundation scholarships.
- Consider payment plans or workforce funding options (like Career Pathways).
- Visit the Paying for College page for resources and tools.
Step 5:
Submit Required Documents
Here’s what SAU Tech needs to complete an admissions file:
- High school transcript or GED scores
- Placement test scores (ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer)
- Immunization records (2 MMRs required)
- Transcripts from previously attended colleges (if applicable)
Step 3:
Complete the FAFSA
- All students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov.
- SAU Tech’s financial aid office can assist at any point: 870-574-4511.
Step 6:
Register & Get Ready
Once admitted, students will:
- Meet with an academic advisor
- Register for classes
- Learn about orientation, housing, and campus life
Support for High School Students: Rocket High Program
The Rocket High Program allows high school students to earn concurrent credit for both technical and university-transferable courses while still in school. It’s available to:
- Public high school students
- Homeschool students
- Students taking summer or holiday term courses
