What You’ll Learn As A Nail Tech

Through theory and hands-on lab work, students gain the practical and professional knowledge needed to excel in the nail care industry.

Course Highlights:

  • COSM 1014 – Art & Science of Nail Care
    Covers nail anatomy, disorders and diseases, infection control, reflexology, and career readiness. Includes domestic violence and sexual assault training.
  • COSM 1016 – Nail Technology I
    Hands-on training in manicures (basic, spa, oil), pedicures, hand/arm and foot/leg massage techniques.
  • COSM 1026 – Nail Technology II
    Focuses on advanced techniques like acrylic tips, sculptured nails, gel overlays, wraps, paraffin waxing, and product education.

Students complete all 600 clock hours required to sit for the National-Interstate Council (NIC) Nail Technology Theory Examination.
