SAU Tech’s Medical Office Administration program offers in-depth training in both medical and administrative skills, including:

  • Electronic Health Records (EHR) management
  • Medical terminology and pharmacology

Students also complete 160 hours of internship in an approved medical setting, allowing them to apply what they’ve learned in real-world environments.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will develop an understanding of information and skills necessary to assist physicians in basic medical procedures.
  2. Students will complete training in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic health records, coding, and billing software.
  3. Students will develop keyboarding speed and accuracy.
  4. Students will apply knowledge and technology skills of the medical coding and billing process.
  5. Students will apply knowledge and technology skills of the medical coding and billing process.
  6. Students will develop a thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and medical word research techniques.
