Arkansas Fire Training Academy to Celebrate New EMS Building with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Arkansas Fire Training Academy (AFTA) is excited to announce the grand opening of its new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM on the AFTA campus. This state-of-the-art facility will enhance the academy’s ability to train and prepare EMS professionals to serve communities across Arkansas.
The public, community leaders, and media are invited to join AFTA for this milestone event. For those interested in arriving early, a complimentary lunch will be provided by Great Western Dining on the AFTA campus starting at 11:30 AM. To ensure adequate accommodations for the lunch, please RSVP by contacting April McDonald at amcdonal@sautech.edu, or 870-574- 4572.
In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, an alternate date for the ribbon cutting has been set for December 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM.
The new EMS building represents a significant investment in the future of emergency medical training in Arkansas, featuring modern classrooms, advanced simulation labs, and dedicated spaces for hands-on instruction. This facility will empower AFTA to continue its mission of delivering world-class training to first responders.
