SAU Tech Picked as State’s Best Community College
Camden, Arkansas- Southern Arkansas University Tech (SAU Tech) made the list as the best community college in Arkansas by Stacker.com. Stacker announced on November 6, 2020, a list of community colleges, one from every state, chosen as the best in their respective states. Stacker looked at data from Niche to find the top community colleges in every state across the country. Niche based the rankings on an analysis of financial and student life data from the U.S. Department of education along with reviews by alumni and students. The data used is self-reported by colleges along with several other factors that Niche considers when making a ranking. Some factors include value, diversity, student experience, and feedback from 180,000 actual college students.
SAU Tech is a public two-year college in Camden, Arkansas, that provides technical, online, and transfer degrees. The College is recognized for its role in bringing NJCAA athletics back to the scene at Arkansas two-year colleges after it started men’s and women’s basketball in fall 2018. SAU Tech offers student housing, intramurals, a scholars program, student choir, and now an NJCAA softball team.
