Southern Arkansas University Tech (SAU Tech) is pleased to announce the award of $350,000 from The Brown Foundation, Inc. SAU Tech pursued this grant with the intention of providing direct support to at-risk students who excel academically but require additional assistance to cover various college-associated costs our students accrue. Since receiving this grant, SAU Tech provided assistance to many students who met our eligibility criteria in Fall 2023.

The award of this grant underscores the commitment to promote academic excellence, remove barriers to education, and foster a more inclusive and equitable educational landscape. It also reflects a dedication to making a lasting impact on the lives of students who have the potential to excel academically but face financial constraints.

SAU Tech is a local community college that provides transfer, career technical, and online programs. Additionally, SAU Tech provides NJCAA athletics, student housing, an honors program, and more for students. The College oversees the operations of the Arkansas Fire Training Academy, the Arkansas Environmental Training Academy, the College’s Career Academy, and the Adult Education services for the College’s service area.
