Transitional Services Program
Have you been out of school for awhile and are apprehensive about starting or returning to college? Are you thinking about taking college classes once you have obtained your GED? Do you have workforce training or certifications that might be applied to a college degree and are ready to start working on it?
The Transitional Services Program is designed to provide you with the extra support and guidance you need to make the transition to college as a nontraditional student!
The Transitional Services Program is designed to provide nontraditional students with a great beginning in the college academic programs at SAU Tech! Students receive a high level of support as they make the transition into college.
Transitional Services Program students receive the following extra support and guidance:
- Assistance with applications, appointments for course registration and financial aid filing, scheduling placement tests.
- Orientation to the campus.
- Program staff who will work exclusively with students enrolled in the Program.
- Preparatory support for students who may not be academically prepared to take college courses.
- Academic tutors who conduct help sessions before and after class.
- Counseling, mentoring, and support services to enable a successful transition to college.
Admission Steps for Students:
- Schedule a meeting with the Transitional Services staff
- Complete an intake form
- Take the College Placement Tests
- Receive an acceptance letter
- Attend the Program Orientation
