International
Online Learning

The information below is for the admission of online international students not living in the U.S. to Southern Arkansas University Tech. You will not be allowed to be an M-1 or F-1 visa status student pursuing ONLY an online degree. If you currently are an F-1 visa status student pursuing a degree at a SEVIS approved U.S. college, and wish to take courses at SAU Tech in conjunction with your current college, please visit the International Student Concurrent Credit page for more information. Please read the following information.

Please review our International Online Student Information for specific details regarding general information you will need to know.

Step 1: Fill out the International Admissions Application
There is no application fee for online-only International students.

Once you apply, a student identification number and an email address will be generated by SAU Tech and provided to you for your use. You can find information about how to access MyCollege, Brightspace, and your email on our website. Access Instructions

Step 2: Submit Documentation
•Official foreign transcripts listing courses, examinations, grades, and marks sent directly to Southern Arkansas University Tech Admissions Office from your high school and/or college/university. Photocopies may be temporarily accepted if they are certified by an official at the American Embassy or a known world organization.
•Proof of college entrance exam or placement scores recognized by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ACT, SAT, ASSET, Compass, or Accuplacer). Scores may be faxed, mailed, or scanned and emailed.
•If applicable, students who have taken courses at U.S. colleges or universities must have their official transcripts sent directly from the college or university to the SAU Tech Admissions Office. Personal copies of U.S. transcripts will not be accepted.

Step 3: Register for classes
You will need to fill out the Class Registration Form and submit the completed form to Beverly Ellis. The form can be mailed, faxed, or scanned and emailed. It is strongly recommended that students whose native language is not English should be proficient in the use of the English language to be able to take courses successfully. All course materials, video lectures, and books are in English and are designed for students who are proficient in written and spoken English.

Step 4: Purchasing books and supplies

Books and supplies for online courses can be purchased from our campus bookstore.

Step 5: Payment for tuition and fees
Full payment for tuition and fees must be made by the first day of classes for which you are enrolled. SAU Tech offers payment options through eCashier in MyCollege on the SAU Tech website. Payment in full OR a payment plan through eCashier is required by the payment due date or you will be dropped from classes. Tuition and fees can be paid in full by wire transfer or credit card by contacting the Business Office. Tuition and fees can also be paid in full by bank draft made payable to Southern Arkansas University Tech and mailed to the Business Office.
