SAU Tech’s Center for Entrepreneurial Development at SAU Tech provides resources and assistance to entrepreneurs so that they will attain and maintain success in their ventures. The CED serves all entrepreneurs from start-ups to existing community businesses wishing to expand. Typical services include the following:

Education and Training
Community education courses in areas including planning, marketing, forecasting, customer service, market research, selling skills, image, trends, pertinent computer courses, legal issues, finance, and more. Credit courses leading to a Technical Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Community enrichment seminars and workshops are also offered throughout the year.

Free consultation from experts including name selection, logo design, business plan review, how to set up technology systems, and more.

Information and Referral
Access to local economic development organizations and resources. Free business brochure development is provided for qualified applicants.

Networking Opportunities
The SAU Tech Entrepreneurial Symposium is held yearly during national entrepreneurial week in February. The symposium features guest lectures by successful local entrepreneurs and the opportunity for sharing ideas, products, and services.

E-Commerce Incubator
SAU Tech is in a unique position, as a leader in web-based development and design, to provide professional e-commerce business development. Targeted coursework and training for entrepreneurs who are interested in marketing products and services via the Internet is offered through the college’s multimedia technology program.
