International Fire Service Accreditation Congress

International Accreditations

The Arkansas Fire Academy is accredited by both the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualification (NPQS or ProBoard) to certify firefighters in:

• Firefighter I (NFPA 1001, 2002 edition)
• Firefighter II (NFPA 1001, 2002 edition)
• Hazardous Materials Awareness (NFPA 472, 2002 edition)
• Hazardous Materials Operations (NFPA 472, 2002 edition)

State Level EMS Accreditations

The Arkansas Fire Academy's Emergency Medical Technician course is accredited by the Arkansas Department of Health Emergency Medical Services Division.

Our EMT course and 80-hour EMS First Responder courses prepare students for National Registry certification at those levels.
